Love Would be Something That I Just Knew

When I first got my computer in November of 2006 I downloaded itunes to play all of my music on. I used it for quite while before getting winamp, which I like much better. Before that happened, I did, however, become quite fond of the "Top 25 Most Played" playlist. It automatically updates for you. Lately I've been listening to it while I drive to work. Anyone who knows me well can tell you, sometimes I have a need for a certain sound from a certain song and I usually can't pinpoint it until the song comes on. For some reason, the songs on my top list always fulfill that need, must be why I've listened to them so much. So here is my list, along with a line that I feel really captures the song, in case you don't know it. Its interesting to ponder on what it says about the state of my mind. What is on your list?

1. "The (After) Life of the Party"- Fall Out Boy "I'm a stitch away from making it, and a scar away from falling apart."
2. "Love Song" -Sara Bareilles "I've learned the hard way, that they all say, things you wanna hear."
3. "Lovefool"- The Cardigans "I don't care if you really care, as long as you don't go."
4. " Our Lawyer Made Us Change the Name of this Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued"- Fall Out Boy "Make 'em dance like we were shooting their feet."
5. "Echo"- The Hush Sound " We all are connected, a lighthouse, a voyage, for history's sake would you please take notice?"
6. "Broken Heart"- Motion City Soundtrack "you never get used to it, you just have to live with it."
7. "Starlight"- Muse "far away, this ship is taking me far away."
8. " This Aint (Kanye West Remix)"- Fall Out Boy "now I don't know what the heck this song is talkin' bout, do you?"
9. "Thunder (Acoustic)"- Boys Like Girls "your voice was the soundtrack of my summer"
10. "I Will Follow You Into the Dark"- Death Cab for Cutie "you and me, will see every thing to see, from Bangkok to Calgary"
11. "Don't You Know Who I Think I Am?"- Fall Out Boy "they say quitters never win, but we walk the plank on a sinking ship."
12. "Work"- Jimmy Eat World "the things we think might be the same, but I would fight for more."
13. "Pictures of You"- The Last Goodnight "pictures of you, pictures of me, remind us all of what we could have been."
14. "Even if It Kills Me"- Motion City Soundtrack "if I had a little more time to kill, I'd settle every little stupid thing."
15. "Hands Open"- Snow Patrol "its hard to argue when you won't stop making sense."
16. "You Could Be Happy"- Snow Patrol "is it too late to remind you how we were, and not our last days of silence scream and blur."
17. "Down and Out" - The Academy Is "the good things will live in our hearts."
18. "Audrey! Start the Revolution!"- Anberlin "we all fail but we stand tonight, look past them and move on, We're all here, you're not the only one."
19. "Dance, Dance"- Fall Out Boy "we're falling apart to half time" (this song also brings fond memories of Hawaii and Chelsea... singing the only two words we knew at the time... and then changing them.)
20. "The Painter"- I'm From Barcelona "don't give up on your dreams no buddy."
21. "Sexy Back"- Justin Timberlake honestly, does this one need a line?
22. "Kelsey"- Metro Station "I'd swim the ocean for you"
23. "Classifieds"- The Academy Is "when you said you were falling apart, I thought you meant that you were falling apart."
24. "The Takeover, The Breaks Over"- Fall Out Boy "we don't fight fair."
25. "The Way I Am"- Ingrid Michaelson actually this one is barely on there, mostly its from Alicia coming to visit cause she loves it. I think it'll soon be taken over by Anberlin's "Dismantle Repair", Tilly and the Wall's "The Freest Man," or The Hussys "We Expected"...
Music, I love it.

I hardly ever use iTunes anymore, or any music player for that matter. My computer is just getting too old and slow. It makes me sad.

I just checked mine...It does say something about me, although not the same way it would for most. Mine says that I like to listen to entire albums, I hardly ever use shuffle, or skip around to various artists and songs. I generally crave an album, not a song.

I've been a Winamp man since the late 90's.

I still don't get why it assaults llamas, however.

I also love the top 25 most played list. It's great! But I'm not telling what mine are. we may even have a couple of the same ones, others I think I may be slightly embarrassed by. Hmmm...
